My Approach
I often support clients who experience anxiety, perfectionism, and high levels of burnout. Many clients who reach out are going through periods of transition in their lives. Therapy sessions with me include a combination of practical strategies with a deeper dive into where patterns may have developed in your life. I believe identity is constantly evolving and we must take time to process the changes we go through in parenthood in order to understand ourselves. I use a variety of approaches in my work, but tend to lean on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Motivational Interviewing.
About Me
When I had my first child I put a lot of pressure on myself to do things perfectly. It took me a while to understand that motherhood is not perfect and I cannot control everything (even when I want to!). I had to learn new ways to show myself compassion and work through challenges as they arise. When we become a parent our entire identity shifts. Nothing is as it used to be. I believe this gives us an opportunity to explore and find a new way of being. I see you, I see your struggle, and I want to be there with you while you work toward rediscovering yourself.
